Attention all foodies and mocktail enthusiasts!! Plans for the May Bank Holiday weekend are now sorted, just head right on over to the stunning Mountain View venue in Ballyhale, Co. Kilkenny where there will be an extraordinary food festival that promises to be one to remember!
Kicking off on Saturday, May 4th, the festival will feature a non-alcoholic cocktail masterclass showcasing live cocktail demos with high quality non-alcoholic drinks created by Ross Kelly, @the.sober.mixologist. This fabulous event will take place in the spectacular surrounds of Mountain View, a private venue that hosts one of the best known and most popular food markets in the country.
Given the growing trend of embracing alcohol-free lifestyles, particularly in family-friendly settings, drinknolo.ie is so thrilled to support Foodie Fest by supplying a delicious range of non-alcoholic gins, prosecco, and sparkling wines to support. These will be featured in the non-alcoholic Zero Bar at the Cowshed where you can go and learn more about non-alcoholic mixology and sample some delicious non-alcoholic drinks!
On Saturday evening, guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a 4-course menu prepared by three Michelin-experienced MasterChefs and overseen by Mountain View's Executive Chef. This exclusive dining experience will start with a drinks reception, followed by dinner and live music, as well as after-dinner chats with the MasterChefs – an evening not to be missed.
The festival continues on Sunday, May 5th, with a series of masterclasses hosted by seven contestants from the hit BBC show MasterChef. These talented chefs will share their expertise in a variety of culinary styles, from Italian-inspired cooking to family-friendly meals and the art of summer BBQing.
Alongside the culinary masterclasses, food lovers will have the chance to attend workshops and talks on growing their own produce, as well as specialized classes in pilates, gut health, and healthy nutritional treats for kids. FoodieFest co-founder Laura Warren of the multi-award-winning Elite Living Nutrition will also host a masterclass on healthy nutrition treats for the whole family.
In keeping with the festival's ethos, a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the Irish Cancer Society, making this a truly special occasion that brings together a community of food lovers and health-conscious individuals.
